As UNHCR statistics generally rely on data from host countries, statistics on refugees alone can give an insufficient account of refugee numbers, as some host countries will not grant refugee status to certain groups. Including statistics for individuals in refugee-like situations is an attempt to account for unrecognised refugees and does not include internally displaced persons. Statistics for stateless refugees are included if available.

Highfields Legal Advice Centre, High/Glen Resource Centre, Main Street, Highfield
LRF’s direct services to the public target the rural and urban poor, disadvantaged women, scholars and the general public. Services to the legal system target law students, legal practitioners (particularly newly-qualified practitioners), the courts, law enforcement agencies and sections of the general public. They do not specialise in legal aid for refugees but could potentially give advice on a case or help in finding another lawyer or organisation.
The Legal Services Programme operates legal advice centres in five urban, five suburban and 19 rural areas. These centres are staffed by over 35 trained paralegals, who advise and educate their communities on legal issues.
The LRF takes up cases of general public interest or those cases which establish new legal precedents and protect the human rights of Zimbabweans. They have offices throughout Zimbabwe .
