As UNHCR statistics generally rely on data from host countries, statistics on refugees alone can give an insufficient account of refugee numbers, as some host countries will not grant refugee status to certain groups. Including statistics for individuals in refugee-like situations is an attempt to account for unrecognised refugees and does not include internally displaced persons. Statistics for stateless refugees are included if available.

FCCAM implements assistance plans developed by UNHCR. FCCAM Works within four areas in cooperation with other civil society organisations and UNHCR.

1. FCCAM provides access to the study of Spanish courses, to the Health Service, employment skills training and a clothes bank as well as other projects.

2. Within the Legal Area of work FCCAM provides assistance with regards to the asylum seeking process in Argentina, its stages, consequences and the rights and obligations of asylum seekers and refugees. FCCAM also provides advice in areas such as accessing education, work or housing due to lack of documentation. We also assist those that need help with family reunification or voluntary repatriation. Though FCCAM does not provide legal representation in court, it will help to refer cases and provide assistance together with other governmental and non-governmental organisations.

3. Mental Health: We provide individual interviews for refugees and asylum seekers in order to detect mental health issues with the aim to work towards supporting individuals in such issues.

4. Housing: FCCAM searches for alternatives that combine existing resources to provide housing solutions at a national and local level.
