Professor Miguel Alberto Galante teaches History and Argentinian History at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He holds a Masters degree in International Migration Policies (UBA). Professor Galante has published extensively and taught courses on migration issues, Shoah and genocide, human rights, State terrorism in Argentina, oral history, and the recent history of Argentina. He was a senior researcher on anti-Semitism and Nazism in Argentina. Mr Galante is the director of the research project “Civil Society and State Terrorism in Argentina” at the UBA.

Dr Jusionyte is Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Latin American Studies at the University of Florida, where she directs the Crime, Law, and Governance in the Americas program. She has a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, Cum Laude from Vilnius University, an M.A. in Anthropology from Brandeis University and a PhD in Anthropology from Brandeis University. Since 2008, Dr Jusionyte has conducted ethnographic research in the border region of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Dr Jusionyte also has experience in investigative journalism and documentary filmmaking in Argentina. She has written, extensively on Argentina, focusing on themes such as security, crime and violence, borders, governance, and the state.
